Celebrating Innovation at the 34th Annual BIMA Awards

Last week we attended the 34th annual BIMA Awards, where we were nominated for two awards against some big names.

The BIMAs are the most prestigious and longest running awards show in the UK digital industry, celebrating the best of the country’s work across innovation, impact, and craft. Although we didn’t win on the night we are delighted to have been nominated against projects for huge names including Google, Dominos, Unicef, Marmite, and TopShop.

We were shortlisted in the competitive categories of Emerging Technology: Innovation for our work with Channel 4 on The Human Test, an interactive Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant skill to promote season 3 of critically acclaimed sci-fi drama Humans, and Emerging Technology: Small Budget, for our work supporting Honeywell’s smart home division becoming a launch partner of Google Home in the United States.

We've always been keen to push the boundaries in the work that we do and as a practice we always have an eye to the future, reinvesting over 20% of our profits into R&D each year, so are delighted to have been recognised in the Emerging Technology category. We were up against some truly innovative and inspirational agencies and projects, so while we weren't lucky this time, this was only our first time entering the BIMA Awards, and we look forward to being back next year!

Congratulations to AnalogFolk and makemepulse for their fantastic wins on the night, you can check out the full list of amazing projects and winners here. For us it's onward and upward, with nominations at The Lovie Awards and Herald Digital Business Awards just around the corner. If you want to know more about our award-winning work and find out how we can help, get in touch, we'd love to chat.
